Mr. Soyemi Aliu Akinlabi is an experienced Chartered Accountant with over two decades of professional expertise spanning audit, taxation, accountancy, forensic accounting and investigation, as well as management consultancy and advisory services.
He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Align Business Management and Consulting Limited. He is also an Engagement Partner at Olufemi Salami & Co., and the Managing Partner at Align Consulting & Associates (Professional Auditors and Tax Consultants), a position he has held since 2010.
Mr. Akinlabi has consistently leveraged his expertise to help clients achieve their financial goals through strategic financial planning, professional advice, and the monitoring of implementation processes to drive revenue and profitability growth. As a seasoned Accountant and Financial Consultant, he has developed platforms that have enabled clients to save significantly and recover excess bank charges—amounting to over one billion Naira across various engagements.
He leads and coordinates teams on clients’ statutory audits, tax planning and management, investment and risk assessments, and a range of other financial services. His ability to manage multiple clients while tracking their financial goals ensures compliance with financial policies and regulatory standards.
Mr. Akinlabi is a member of the Institute of Certified Forensic Accountants (ICFA, USA), a Fellow of the African Institute of Strategic Managers, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Financial and Investment Analysts. He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting and an Advanced Diploma in Forensic Accounting and Investigation from Brentwood College, United Kingdom.
